The Virgin, the Eleousa of Kykkos, Panagia of Kykkos, the Kykkotissa

Like the Holy of Holies in the Jewish temple, she is veiled. Only copies of her are allowed to be viewed by human eyes. Of those “copies” (variations on a theme) there are countless around the world. She is venerated by Christians and Muslims alike, as is often the case in countries with significant Muslim and Christian populations. (25% of Cypriots are Muslim.)
